A Blog For The Good UD Basketball Team
Complaining about Dave Coulier? Cut. It. Out.
Hahaha somebody had to do it. Nicely done. By the way, my whio.com audio isn't working yet.
I'm listening to the UD game online and watching the xavier game on TV. I'm just asking for punishment tonight.
I just got home and my audio works. And UD leads?!
Who really listens to AM talk radio? Seriously? Other than my grandma?
I barely got to sit down before a Jacksonville Jet reference.
My audio kicked on when it was 2-2, so I didn't miss very much. I work in AM talk radio, so I hope at least some people listen to it so I can stay employed. As for the game, do you ever notice how much better we are when we push the ball and play more of an up-tempo game? It seems like when we're forced to run the half-court offense, we go through prolonged stretches without scoring.
I think you're right about the up-tempo pace. Sometimes I wonder if the team is slighty overcoached like that.
I just want this team to get something going. Get into the NIT at least. I'm sick of no postseason berths.
I can't believe UD leads by 17...on the road.
I think overcoached is very good word choice. Also, I don't mean to jinx anything but UD is up 50-34. I can't wait to see this running diary.
It would be hard to beat the original FN diary though. Stonemill knows what I'm talking about.
I'm close to the Dayton area, and I wish I could afford to go to the final home game this weekend.
Is that the running diary of the midseason scrimmage game?
London Warren just dunked on somebody, and Larry Hansgen went absolutely bonkers. Unbelievable.
I think Larry jumped out his his chair on that dunk.
I was waiting for "The Jacksonville Jet soared on that one!"
I've been to Troy, and the downtown is nice. Beautiful might be stretching it a little. I applied for a job there. Didn't get it though.
I'm surprised Troy even has a downtown. Hey, who is this team masquerading as the Dayton Flyers ... on the road?
Are they wearing the white jerseys? And why do I feel like I'm going to hear BG yelling "high hands!" in my sleep tonight?
Hell, if it'll make opposing teams shoot 5-20 from three, I'll yell "high hands." I just didn't know that's all it took.
For a guy as short as BG is, "high hands" might get to the players' eye level.
And the next time I go to a UD game and they struggle, I'm yelling "high hands!"
So let's see... London Warren, who never shoots, has a dunk and a made three. Marcus Johnson, who can't shoot when he's set, is making off-balance three-pointers, Plummer has 14 points and Little has a career-high 12 boards. See, that's all it takes to win a road game.
62-52. Uh oh, 10-point game. This one's far from over fellas...
Don't screw this up...
This is not happening...Charles Little just attempted three-pointers on consecutive possessions. Charles fucking Little. Temple at the line with a chance to cut it to six.
I reiterate: Don't screw it up...
That rebound was huge.
Oh sweet sweet road victory.
Well, I wasn't going to celebrate a UD win with the purchase of a car, but Larry convinced me.Oh, and it wouldn't be a UD game without Larry warning listeners about a weather warning before the final horn.
Horray, second road victory! Horray!
Let's get to 20 wins! Then we can get an NIT bid! Horray! And then I can post an NIT bracket on the blog! Horray!
How about my prediction within one point of the exact final score? (Forget the fact that I had the winning team wrong.)
That's eerie. Kind of. I guess.Hey, from now on, all of my predictions will have the opposing team winning by a large margin.
